Alpha Swing FAQs
What is Alpha Swing?
Alpha Swing is Alpha Capital's 2-step evaluation programme for longer holds. You complete two phases on simulated funds, then you may be eligible for a Qualified Account. Leverage is up to 1:30 on FX. Weekend holding is allowed throughout. Results are simulated and performance fees are not guaranteed.
What are the profit targets and trading days?
Phase 1 is 10% and Phase 2 is 5%. Each phase requires at least 3 trading days. There is no maximum trading-day cap.
How does drawdown work on Alpha Swing?
Alpha Swing uses static max drawdown, not trailing. The limit is 10% of the starting balance and does not move up if the account grows. Daily loss is 5% and is balance-based. Limits apply to simulated balances.
When can I request a performance fee?
Alpha Swing is on-demand only. There is no bi-weekly cycle and no 90% add-on. You may request a performance fee after you have at least 2% gross profit and you meet the 40% Best Day Rule. There is no Direct-style profit buffer. Requests are reviewed against simulated results. Approval is not guaranteed.
Can I trade news and hold over the weekend?
News trading is allowed. If a trade is opened within 2 minutes before or up to 2 minutes after a news release (a 4-minute window), its duration must exceed 2 minutes to be valid. Weekend holding is allowed in evaluation and on the Qualified Account. Swap fees apply.
What leverage does Alpha Swing use?
Standard leverage is up to 1:30 on FX, 1:9 on metals, 1:10 on indices, and 1:10 on oil. Combined open lot caps scale with account size. All trading uses simulated funds.
