2-Step FAQs

2-Step FAQs

What is the 2-Step evaluation?

2-Step is a two-phase evaluation programme on simulated funds. Checkout includes Alpha Pro (6%, 8%, and 10% variants) and Alpha Swing. Pass both phases under the published rules to become eligible for a Qualified Account. Results are simulated and performance fees are not guaranteed.

What is the difference between Alpha Pro and Alpha Swing?

Alpha Pro is the standard 2-step path with leverage up to 1:100 on FX, static drawdown from 6%, and a choice of bi-weekly or on-demand performance fees. An optional 90% add-on is available on Pro on-demand. Alpha Swing is built for longer holds: 1:30 leverage, 10% then 5% targets, 10% static max loss, weekend holding on evaluation and the Qualified Account, on-demand fees only, and no 90% add-on.

What are the Phase 1 and Phase 2 profit targets?

Alpha Pro 6% is 6% then 6%. Alpha Pro 8% is 8% then 5%. Alpha Pro 10% is 10% then 5%. Alpha Swing is 10% then 5%. Each phase also requires at least 3 trading days.

Is 2-Step drawdown static or trailing?

2-Step uses static max drawdown, not trailing. The limit is fixed from the starting balance: 6%, 8%, or 10% on Alpha Pro, and 10% on Swing. Daily loss is 3% on Pro 6% (highest end-of-day balance or equity), 4% balance-based on Pro 8%, and 5% balance-based on Pro 10% and Swing. Limits apply to simulated balances.

Can I choose bi-weekly or on-demand fees?

Alpha Pro offers bi-weekly or on-demand performance fee cycles at purchase. On-demand on Pro and Swing uses a 40% Best Day Rule and a 2% minimum profit. Bi-weekly on Pro requires a $100 minimum and 5 trading days for the first request. Swing is on-demand only. The two cycles cannot be mixed on the same account.

Can I trade news on a 2-Step Qualified Account?

News is unrestricted during evaluation. On an Alpha Pro Qualified Account you cannot open or close trades on listed instruments for 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after listed news events. Weekend holding is allowed in Pro evaluation phases but not on the Pro Qualified Account. Swing allows weekend holding throughout. On Swing, if a trade is opened within 2 minutes before or up to 2 minutes after a news release (a 4-minute window), its duration must exceed 2 minutes to be valid.
