    Evaluation FAQs

Quick answers before you choose a plan. For live rule tables and edge cases, see our rules guide or the help centre.

How much does a prop firm evaluation cost at Alpha Capital?

Evaluation fees start from $50 on the smallest Alpha One tier and scale with simulated account size and programme. Alpha One, Alpha Pro, Alpha Swing, and Alpha Three-Step each have different price points from $5K to $200K simulated balances. The fee is the only capital at risk — trading uses simulated funds.

What are simulated funds in a prop firm evaluation?

Simulated funds are virtual capital in a demo trading environment. During an evaluation and on a qualified account, you trade against simulated balances — not your personal savings beyond the one-time evaluation fee. Performance fees paid to Qualified Analysts are real money based on eligible simulated results.

What is the performance split at Alpha Capital?

Qualified Analysts may earn up to an 80% performance split on eligible simulated profits, depending on programme. We call this a performance fee; many traders call the same payment a payout.

What is the difference between Alpha One and Alpha Pro?

Alpha One is a one-step evaluation with trailing drawdown — the fastest path. Alpha Pro is two steps with static drawdown and three risk variants (6%, 8%, 10%) so you pick targets that match your strategy. Read our trading evaluation guide for detail.

Which evaluation programme should I choose?

Alpha One for speed and intraday strategies. Alpha Pro for static drawdown and a two-phase path. Alpha Swing if you hold overnight or through weekends. Alpha Three-Step for smaller per-phase targets across three steps.

Where can I read the full evaluation rules?

Drawdown, daily loss, profit targets, and qualified-account rules are on help.alphacapitalgroup.uk and summarised in our Alpha Capital rules explained (2026) post. Confirm live rules before you buy.

Please note that all accounts we provide to our clients are demo accounts with simulated funds and any trading is conducted in a simulated environment. References to trading, traders, revenue, and profit are references to virtual trading, revenues, and profits respectively. More details can be found in theFAQ section.Okay I Understand.
