What cTrader offers on this UK prop firm

Here’s what you get with cTrader on our platforms page:

You can use it on Windows, MacOS, Android, and Web Browser.

One important note: our platforms page mentions cTrader Automate, but EA functionality is not currently available for cTrader on Alpha Capital. If you need risk-management EAs under our rules, use MT5 instead (MT5 guide).

Copy trading on or from cTrader is not possible at this time.

How to set up cTrader on Alpha Capital

Here’s how you get started after purchase.

After you purchase

You receive two emails:

  1. From cTrader, confirming an account linked to your email
  2. From Alpha Capital Group, containing your account number and password

How you log in

For cTrader, you do not log in with a separate login number. Use your cTrader email and password.

Desktop and web links

Required settings after login

  1. Open Settings (bottom left) → Assets tab
  2. Select Lots
  3. Deselect Set units per Asset class

Finding assets and watchlists

Use the icon in the top left to search or browse assets. Star an asset to add it to a watchlist.

If you cannot log in

US residents and cTrader

For U.S. residents, listed platforms include cTrader, DX Trade, and TradeLocker (not MT5).

cTrader is currently not accepting new U.S. customers. Existing U.S. cTrader customers can continue trading and purchase new evaluations. The restriction applies only to new U.S. customers.

If you are a new U.S. customer, plan around DX Trade or TradeLocker instead (DX Trade guide, TradeLocker guide).

When do credentials arrive?

Card payments are issued promptly after successful payment. Crypto and PayPal can take up to 24 hours. Details: How long will it take to get my credentials?.

Who should pick cTrader on Alpha Capital

Good fit if you want the cTrader interface, desktop or web setup, and you trade manually without our EAs or copy trading.

Not the right pick if you need our approved risk-management EAs or copy trading. Those paths require MT5.
