Which Alpha Capital Platform Can US Traders Use? DX Trade Guide

We offer DX Trade (also styled Dx Trade / DXTrade on our website) as one of four live platforms on our Alpha Capital evaluation environment.

If you searched DX Trade prop firm or DXTrade prop firm, this is our guide: who can use it, what it offers, and what it does not support.

What DX Trade offers

Here’s what you get with DX Trade on our platforms page. We describe it as a platform for institutional-style workflows, with:

  • Customizable workflows
  • Advanced order management
  • Depth of Market (DOM) feature
  • Support for algorithmic trading
  • Real-time market data

Access is listed as Web Browser only.

After purchase, use the credentials and instructions in your Alpha Capital emails. If login fails, contact support. Credentials timing: How long will it take to get my credentials?.

We publish dedicated setup guides for cTrader and TradeLocker. Follow your purchase emails for DX Trade access.

Why DX Trade matters for US traders

For U.S. residents, available platforms are cTrader, DX Trade, and TradeLocker.

MetaTrader 5 is not available to U.S. residents. Traders travelling to the U.S. must not use MT5 while there.

cTrader is not accepting new U.S. customers. Existing U.S. cTrader customers can continue and buy new evaluations.

So for new U.S. customers, the practical live options named are DX Trade and TradeLocker.

Country eligibility is separate. Check country availability before purchase.

We are still a UK prop firm (Alpha Capital Group). Platform availability for U.S. residents does not change our simulated evaluation model.

More on platform availability: What trading platforms are available?

What DX Trade does not support on Alpha Capital

Expert Advisors

EA functionality is not currently available for DX Trade accounts.

Risk-management EAs under our rules require MT5. See MT5 prop firm guide.

Our platforms page mentions support for algorithmic trading as a product feature. That is not the same as our EA approval policy. For what you are allowed to run: Can I use an Expert Advisor (EA)?

Copy trading

Copy trading on or from DX Trade accounts is not possible at this time.

Who should pick DX Trade

Good fit if you want a web-browser platform with DOM and advanced order management, and you trade without our EAs or copy trading.

Especially relevant if you are a U.S. resident who cannot use MT5, and you are not an existing cTrader customer eligible under the new-customer restriction.

Not the right pick if you need MT5 EAs or copy trading under our rules.
